Sehr freundliche Begrüßung und wirklich hilfreiche Auskünfte. Wir möchten uns auch bedanken fürs Organisieren eines Transportes nach Saas Fee und die guten Tipps rund um Zermatt. Die Lage der Unterkunft ist für Schifahrer natürlich ideal, hier ist man von Elektrotaxis unabhängig und in einer ruhigen Lage. Es bleibt noch zu erwähnen, dass alles angenehm hygienisch ist. Vielen Dank dafür das wir Gast sein durften, gerne wieder.

"Perfekte Lage"

Wir waren wieder in der Wohnung zur richtigen Zeit. Die Lage ist perfekt. Am ersten Tag eingeschneit, in jeder Richtung konnten wir aus dem Fenster den wachsenden Schnee auf den Bäumen rundum beobachten. Die Lage an der Talabfahrt ideal, morgens auf die Ski direkt von daheim, abends mit Ski bis vor die Tür. Dank der guten Küche macht auch die Selbstversorgung Spaß. Selbst Käsefondue vorhanden. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

"Super séjour"

Un super séjour dans un cadre enchanteur où les écureuils et les chamois viennent vous saluer le matin.appartement très propre et bien agencé.idéal pour les skieurs avec départ et arrivée skis aux pieds. Accès cependant a déconseillé aux personnes à mobilité réduite et poussettes puisque que l accès depuis zermatt se fait par un sentier sympa mais non carrossable. Nous y retournerons sans hésitation.

"idealer Ausgangspunkt direkt zur Piste oder zu diversen Wanderwegen"

Die Gornergorge war ideal für unseren Familienkurztripp inklusive Hund. Etwas ab vom Schuss, was uns aber von vorneherein klar und sehr willkommen war, bietet es den idealen Ausgangspunkt direkt zur Piste oder zu diversen Wanderwegen. Die Wohnhng war sehr sauber und bietet alles, was es braucht. Die Kommunikation mit Cornelia war sehr freundlich und einfach. Gerne wieder!!

"Zermatt Unplugged mit Freunden"

Sympathische, freundliche, flexible und zuvorkommende Gastgeber. Die saubere Wohnung war für uns perfekt ausgestattet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Aufenthalt in Zermatt war perfekt. Auch wenn die Wohnung ausserhalb des Zentrums und ein wenig in der Höhe (Einstieg Gornerschlucht) liegt, ist sie gut erreichbar (Taxi/Spaziergang). Gastgeber hat sich perfekt um unser Gepäck / Transport gekümmert, was wir ausserordentlich geschätzt haben.

"Sehr gepflegte und gemütliche Wohnung"

Zum ersten mal in dieser sehr gepflegten gemütlichen Wohnung. Vermieter sehr nett und sympathisch, haben sich sehr gekümmert und nachgefragt. Information vor Anfahrt sehr gut erklärt. Küche sehr gut ausgestattet auch mit Kaffeemaschine(Pads vorhanden) und ausreichend Grundausstattung. Liegt direkt an der Piste/Talabfahrt am Dorfrand, morgens auf die Ski und ab zur Seilbahn. Abends mit Ski bis kurz vor die Haustür! Keine Busfahrt oder Marsch in Skischuhen! Beim Frühstück Besuch von Gemsen und Eichhörnchen vor dem Fenster. Spricht für die ruhige Lage. Preis-Leistung passt! Wir kommen wieder.

"Fabulous, family-run, hideaway on the slopes of Zermatt"

We had a wonderful week stay at Gornergorge. The apartment is clean and cozy, well-equipped, and very well-located just off the slopes of Zermatt. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful, arranging taxis, answering questions by Whatsapp during the week, and ensuring we had everything we needed. We would strongly recommend this apartment and hope to go back in the future.

"Great stay with my family"

We are a family of six and had a great time, again, in Zermatt. As previous guests have mentioned Cornelia and Gerhard are very welcoming, friendly and professional. Getting to the apt in winter can be a bit of a challenge, you need to have a basic level of fitness but that is part of the charm and we are here for sport so… C&G will help you transport your luggage to the apt with a motorised sled on tracks. The flat is well equipped. The kitchen is ample, we cooked every day. There is one master bedroom and then two smaller ones. One bathroom with a new shower and a toilet. All very clean. In the morning rush hour or evening shower time the fact that having a toilet in the bathroom can be a challenge (with 6 people) but that's the only remark I have. You share the building with people who rent there for the season or permanently. In the morning you ski down to get to the Matterhorn Express to Furi/Schwarzsee. In the evening you ski almost to your doorstep. Skiing in Zermatt is great but I wish the exchange rate CHF vs EURO would come back down to past levels… But we'll gladly come back. Oh and for food shopping bring a Caddie you will not regret it.

"Zermatt in seiner Vollendung! Direkt an der Piste und trotzdem ruhig und fussläufig zum Ortskern"

Wir waren zum wiederholten mal Gast im Gornergorge. Es ist die direkte Lage an der Piste und trotzdem die Fußläufigkeit zum Dorf, die diese Unterkunft perfekt macht. Familie Schmidt ist äußerst aufmerksam und jederzeit erreichbar. Die Unterkunft bietet alles was man braucht um einen Skitag perfekt ausklingen zu lassen. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigt inkl. vollständigem Fondue-Set. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und die Matratzen sehr bequem. Auch für den Sommer können wir diese Unterkunft, welche direkt am Eingang der Gornerschlucht liegt, sehr empfehlen. Sie liegt perfekt zum starten einer Wanderung oder auch für einen Bummel durch das wunderschöne Zermatt. Es hat uns wieder so toll gefallen das wir für 2025 planen wieder Gäste von Familie Schmidt zu sein.

"Merveilleux"

L’appartement excentré du village offre un calme et une sérénité appréciable. De la nature, une grande luminosité et une magnifique terrasse. L’appartement est toujours très prop, très bien équipé : télévision, Internet, équipement de cuisine etc. la salle de bain est moderne. En un mot un confort de grande qualité dans un espace de nature préservée. La qualité d’accueil et la gentillesse de Gerhard et Cornelia rajoutent au côté merveilleux de cet endroit. "Traumurlaub mit hohem Erholungswert"

In idyllischer Lage am Waldrand durften wir im Februar 2022 in der gemütlichen Ferienwohnung traumhafte Skiferien verbringen. Der Erholungswert unserer Ferien war phänomenal. Nicht nur die ruhige Lage, sondern auch sehr bequeme Matratzen sorgten für einen ausgezeichneten Schlaf. Eichhörnchen am Fenstersims begrüssten uns täglich beim Frühstück. Bei traumhaftem Sonnenschein konnten wir mit den Skiern direkt vom Haus aus auf die Piste. Zur Selbstversorgung ist die Küche tiptop ausgestattet. Es gibt sogar eine Nespresso-Maschine. Sehr gut funktionierendes Internet ist vorhanden. Die Betreuung durch die sympathischen Gastgeber vor und während dem Aufenthalt war vorbildlich, wir erhielten viele wertvolle Tips für Ausflüge, Restaurants und vieles mehr. Wir würden diese Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen und können sie nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

"Erholsame Skiferien"

Wir konnten vom Alltag richtig abschalten! Die Besitzer organisieren den Transport zum Haus. Das Haus ist abseits, aber trotzdem gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Morgens gleich mit den Ski auf die Piste! Mega! Die Wohnung ist gemütlich eingerichtet. 6 Personen fühlen sich wohl. Ins Dorf sind es ca 20 min. zu Fuss. Guter Spazierweg. Wir können den unkomplizierten & erholsamen Aufenthalt nur empfehlen. "Excellent apartment, with everything you need for a relaxes skiing holiday"

We thoroughly enjoyed the apartment, its location to the slopes and the services provided. Bedrooms, beds, storage for clothes were excellent. Bathroom, shower was fantastic (we were surprised that we managed with one bathroom / toilet with 7 of us without any queueing. The Wi-Fi / Internet was most welcome. Being met at the top of the farm and our luggage being delivered to the apartment was very useful, I would suggest sending new customers a google map with a meeting point to help guide people to the area.

"Logement sur la piste de ski à 20 minutes à pied du centre"

Excellent Séjour en famille avec 4 adultes et 2 enfants de 9 ans et 12 ans. Emplacement idéal pour les fans de ski à proximité des remontées mécaniques. Possibilité de revenir facilement et sans perte de temps pour le lunch de midi. Ballade agréable de 20 minutes depuis l appartement au centre de Zermatt. L appartement dispose de tout ce qu il faut pour passer un agréable séjour. Les propriétaires sont extrêmement sympathiques et serviables. Le seul petit bémol est le frigo qui est un peu petit pour 6 personne.

"Top Location und Vermieter"

Sehr netter und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Vollständig möblierte Wohnung mit vollständiger Küche. Sehr helle und geräumige Zimmer sowie ein großer Wohnbereich mit Küchenecke. Die Wohnung ist ruhig gelegen mit sehr nettem Gemeinschaftsgarten der durch seine Lagerfeuerstelle zu gemütlichen Abenden einlädt. Auch sehr nett ist, dass sich von heir aus die ansässigen Eichhörnchen wunderbar bei einem Nachmittagascafé beobachten lassen.

"Top Lage, direkt an der Piste, alles vorhanden was es braucht"

Wir wurden von Cornelia äußerst freundlich empfangen. Der Transport des Gepäcks bis zur Unterkunft war gut organisiert. Während des gesamten Aufenthalts waren sie stets ansprechbar und haben sich mehrfach nach unserem Wohlbefinden erkundigt. Die Unterkunft selbst war direkt an der Piste gelegen und für Skifahrer daher optimal. Die Einrichtung war intakt, funktional und gepflegt. Besonders zu erwähnen sind die sehr guten Matratzen. Das ist bei privaten Vermietungen nicht selbstverständlich und daher eine besondere Erwähnung wert. Kurz um: Jederzeit wieder. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können eine Buchung wärmsten empfehlen.

"Cornelia’s apartment in Zermatt could not have worked out better"

For us - family of four plus one dog - Cornelia’s apartment in Zermatt could not have worked out better. We loved the location a bit outside of town - as others have noted, it’s about a 20-minute walk from the train station (and dark at night!) but we’ve stayed right in town before and much preferred the setting of the Gornergorge apartment. It was so dark and quiet at night, with no sounds but the river; during the day there was great hiking right on the doorstep (including the gorge itself, which is worth seeing). The apartment itself was sparkling clean and had everything we needed, and represented great value for money in pricey Zermatt. Finally, the communication with Cornelia and the welcome were perfect. Questions were answered quickly, and they even met us on the walk up to help with bags and to show us nearby sights. Highly recommend, and would definitely stay there again on our next visit to Zermatt.

"We feel so fortunate"

We feel so fortunate we found the Gornergorge apartment for our Zermatt trip. The apartment with three bedrooms was perfect for our group of five. It was very clean, the beds and sheets so comfortable, and the kitchen ideal for cooking breakfast before we headed out to the mountain. Excellent ski-in/ski-out location. The shower instantly hot and strong water pressure felt great at the end of the day. We loved sleeping with the windows open and hearing the water running down the gorge outside. The hike up through the woods to the lodge to/from the village at night added even more to our adventure!Lovely place in Zermatt.

This is a lovely place on the ski slopes in Zermatt. It is a spacious flat with 3 double bedrooms. The bathroom and kitchen look brand new and the place was spotlessly clean. It is exactly as advertised and represents good value for money in this area. The host and hostess are fabulous and make this a great place to stay. I cannot recommend this place enough for peace and quiet at the end of a great days skiing.

"Séjour magnifique dans un endroit idyllique"

Un grand merci pour ce séjour magnifique que nous avons passé dans votre heaven of peace. Réservation facile sur votre site, accueil personnel apprécié, surtout vu la montée, appartement propre tout confort. Quel placement et quel jardin, tout simplement exceptionnel et magique ! Un bonheur pour de grandes familles comme nous. Seul désavantage est la situation un peu isolée du village pour faire ses courses, mais c’est le revers logique de la médaille et pas gênant grâce au vélos mis à disposition. Si on doit vraiment donner des idées d’amélioration, on pourrait dire un peu plus de casseroles ou encore remplacer les lumières, peindre les portes et remplacer/poncer le parquet afin de donner une perception encore plus moderne de l’appartement. Mais ce sont vraiment des détails. Cuisine et salle de bain rénovées avec beaucoup de gout. Vous pouvez être fier de ce petit ou plutôt grand bijou.

Excellent! Situé dans un coin calme c’est un plaisir d’observer les écureuils quand on prend le petit déjeuner. Pouvoir partir directement ski au pied et rentrer depuis les pistes est un sérieux avantage! Et que dire de l’accueil! Excellent aussi, Cornelia et son mari son très gentil et chaleureux. Ils vous donneront toutes les bonnes adresses et tout les conseils dont vous aurez besoins.

Cornelia’s family was the most inviting and helpful AIRBNB hosts that I have ever stayed with. They met us at the chalet to help bring our baggage up the slope to the front door. They also arranged another bed for a last minute traveler addition. Their hospitality was fantastic and made it feel like a home away from home. Best feature for the house was the proximity to the slope, which was literally right off the slope. The cleanliness was superb and the ski room was a great addition. Fantastic place overall!!

Appartement idéalement situé pour aller skier, on part et rentre ski aux pieds. Nous étions 5 adultes, 3 skieurs et 2 non skieurs, pour le repas de midi le restaurant de montagne Blatten est plein de charme et on y mange très bien. Il a l’avantage de se trouver sur les pistes de ski et pour les non skieurs à 5 minutes à pied de la maison. Le soir nous préférions manger à l’appartement qui est bien aménagé, très bien chauffé, très propre et au calme. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié l'hospitalité et la disponibilité de nos hôtes, ils répondent toujours très rapidement aux e-mails. Nous avons passé une très belle semaine, super expérience que nous recommandons sans hésiter!

„Excellent séjour !“

L’accueil de Gerhard et Cornélia est impeccable. L'appartement est spacieux, très fonctionnel et très propre. La vue sur la nature et les arbres à l'intérieur de l'appartement est très agréable. La grande terrasse permet de scruter les écureuils et les oiseaux. Le lieu est particulièrement calme. L'accès aux chemins de randonnées l'été est parfait. Toutes les fonctionnalités sont là : buanderie pour laver et sécher le linge, cuisine équipée avec four, tout le nécessaire pour les lits (3 chambres au total), une connexion internet et un écran tv moderne, des canapés confortables, des supports à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur de l'appartement pour poser ses affaires de randonnées et laisser ses chaussures à l'extérieur. En un mot, la fonctionnalité de l'appartement, le site et le calme dont il bénéficie, l'accueil des propriétaires font de ce lieu un endroit vraiment exceptionnel.

Place to stay

Communication and interaction with Cornelia and family has been excellent - the check-in experience was very flexible and the apartment is clean, spacious, and in a very beautiful location. However, if you do not know Zermatt, it is about 20 minutes walk to the town centre and at night you need to carry a flashlight... which the hosts kindly provide. Overall an excellent place to stay.

La maison Gornergorge est une maison formidable en situation magnifique directement près de la piste de ski, ce qui permet de commencer et d` arrêter quand on veut. Les appartements sont très bien meublés, chaque cuisine dispose d` un lave-vaisselle, qui facilite beaucoup le lavage. Entre 2007/2008 et 2015/2016, nous avons passé 9 fois la semaine de nouvel an avec un groupe de 12 à 22 personnes dans la maison Gornergorge. Chaque fois nous avions loué plusieurs appartements.

Les propriétaires sont très gentils et prennent soin de la maison, en permanence il y a quelque chose qui est rénovée. Le transport des bagages à et de la maison se déroule sans difficulté. Qu`est-ce qu`on veut de plus que cet hébergement formidable dans un domaine skiable extraordinaire ? La maison nous a permis une très grande qualité du repos. Nous reviendrions certainement !

Endroit féerique (hiver 2016)

L'appartement est très fonctionnel, confortable, à côté des pistes et au milieu des bois. Il est à 10 min à pied du village. Tous les soirs, nous déposions nos skis et pendant que les enfants prenaient leur douche nous partions faire les courses au village. C'était féérique de marcher le long de la piste, dans le noir. Cette petite marche nous permettait de nous détendre les muscles après une journée intensive de ski. Un plus pour les ados : il y a le wifi ! Les hôtes sont très agréables et serviables. Ils sont là pour nous accueillir le samedi avec leur grosse luge ainsi que le jour de notre départ. Cet endroit est à recommander mais pas pour des familles avec des tout petits.

Agréable séjour dans un bel appartement au sein de la nature (2016)

Bel appartement tout confort, literie impeccable, terrasse magnifique. Les propriétaires sont charmants et à l'écoute, leur accueil parfait. Le chalet est très calme, assurant un dépaysement total. Le bruit de la rivière est très discret et l'on entend pas les télécabines.

Un endroit merveilleux ! (2016)

Depuis des années nous venons séjourner de 1 à 3 semaines pour profiter de la nature, faire des randonnées, nous reposer et jouir d'un calme et d'un cadre merveilleux. L'accueil de Cornelia et Gerhard a toujours été et est toujours exceptionnel. Le logement est spacieux, confortable, très propre et avec tout le confort souhaité y compris le Wifi. Et après notre dernier séjour de 12 jours nous avons déjà plaisir à savoir que nous reviendrons dès que possible.
